James Emmett and Company is working with a local company in Kutztown and Breinigsville, PA implementing an inclusive employment initiative for people with disabilities and other employment barriers.
Our goal is to assist in the Material Handler and Forklift Operator direct hiring process, while providing ongoing support via in-person, phone, or online meetings to address specific needs in obtaining appropriate accommodations and sustaining steady employment in a diverse and inclusive environment.
The Material Handler is responsible for manually or by hand truck moving materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated places in the facility, onto trucks, or kitting/packing. Position typically reports to the Warehouse Supervisor or Lead.
The Forklift Operator I is responsible for operating material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may also be required to perform order filler or order checker duties in addition to his or her own. This position is responsible for operating a sit-down and/or clamp forklift equipment.
